Ardelyx is a publicly traded commercial biopharmaceutical company founded with a mission to discover, develop and commercialize innovative first-in-class medicines that meet significant unmet medical needs. Ardelyx has two commercial products approved in the United States, IBSRELA (tenapanor) and XPHOZAH (tenapanor). Ardelyx has agreements for the development and commercialization of tenapanor outside of the U.S. Kyowa Kirin commercializes PHOZEVEL (tenapanor) for hyperphosphatemia in Japan. A New Drug Application for tenapanor for hyperphosphatemia has been approved in China with Fosun Pharma. Knight Therapeutics commercializes IBSRELA in Canada.

Position Summary:
The role will primarily identify and support US projects and initiatives, and will involve providing strategic input, managing vendor-led and internal projects, and review data centering around the generation of compelling Real-World Evidence (RWE) and health economics analyses that demonstrate the value of our pharmaceutical products. Communication and organizational skills are critical. This role is designed for someone who can grow as the team expands and takes on more work internally and independently with mentorship from the HEOR lead.
Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the HEOR leader to identify and prioritize opportunities which align to the medical and brand strategies for the organization to be incorporated during annual planning process
  • Develop compelling evidence to scientifically assist the achievement of those corporate goals by understanding the current landscape and life cycle state of an asset and aligning that with corporate priorities
  • Incorporate current and future considerations when developing a road map which enables the maturation of the company's scientific and economic value positions
  • Support the HEOR lead in managing external research partners, consultants, and vendors executing HEOR and RWE studies
  • Track deliverables, timelines, and budgets to ensure high-quality and timely outputs, including coordinating communication across vendors and internal stakeholders to maintain alignment
  • Assist in the design, execution, and review of real-world data (RWD) studies and health economic models
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure that evidence generation aligns with product strategy
  • Contribute to HEOR sections of AMCP dossiers and other payer submissions, and HEOR/RWE publications
  • Conduct targeted literature reviews to inform study design, models, and evidence generation strategies
  • Stay current with methodological advances in HEOR and RWE
  • Support external communication materials, including scientific publications, abstracts, and conference presentations
  • Prepare and present output, including, but not limited to, the: interpretation, strengths weaknesses and options to leadership
Qualifications:
  • PharmD or PhD in Health Economics, Epidemiology, Public Health, or Outcomes Research with 4 -8 years of related or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred
  • Strong understanding of analytical methodology and application
  • Experience performing economic modeling and conducting outcome research
  • Ability to translate strategy into actionable research projects designed to enhance scientific positioning and brand strategies
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple projects and timelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with statistical or modeling software (R, SAS, Stata, TreeAge)
  • Ability to work effectively in a lean team environment and adapt as responsibilities expand
  • Experience with IRB submissions for RWE studies preferred

The anticipated annualized base pay range for this full-time position is $185,000-$227,000. Ardelyx utilizes industry data to ensure that our compensation is competitive and aligned with our industry peers. Actual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include an annual bonus target and equity awards, subject to eligibility and other requirements.
