JOB SUMMARY This person will work closely with the Operations Manager to assist in the long-term and daily operation of the department. The Field Operations Supervisor will need to lead and promote a culture of teamwork, superiorquality, high efficiency, and safety that is focused on servant leadership and customer service. The Field Operations Supervisor will facilitate all field employee training, recruitment, and onboarding, and 4DX teams and goals. The Field Operations Supervisor will be tasked with the management of the operations resources to the maximum benefit of both our customers and our company. The Field Operations Supervisor isresponsible for developing budgets, planning, and coordinating resources to meet budgets and department performance goals. This primarily includes managing the field technicians, training, vehicles, and tools. Secondarily, they are responsible for ensuring that key electrical subcontractors utilized by the department represent McKenney's and ACS to the same standards we expect of our own installers JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform regular site visits with a focus on SQP
- Conduct annual performance reviews for all Automation Specialists and Controls Service Techs
- Provide one-on-one coaching for field personnel in soft skills and technical areas
- Oversee all field training programs and individual training plans
- Provide ongoing technical support to the field
- Provide customer service support to the field and account managers
- Address field personnel issues
- Monitor, review, and resolve callbacks, credits, and other reported quality issues.
- Monitor service technician contract loading and schedule compliance.
- Provide coaching when needed.
- Create and manage after-hours on-call schedule
- Review contract overages with technicians
- Monitor tool purchases and implement a new tool inventory management process
- Identify inefficiencies in the operations of the department
- Recruit new personnel and promote McKenney's ACS in the workforce
- Conduct safety evaluations with technicians on job sites
- Support dispatch operations as needed
- Monitor productive hours versus non-productive hours
- Actively communicate with HR, Union, and industry contacts to maintain/recruit field forces at a level to meet forecasted project and service labor needs
- Maintain and regularly communicate field performance metrics to the field and office, such as P/R, applied time, and contract compliance
- Logistical support of field personnel, including vehicle purchases/assignments, IT devices, uniforms, payroll, and safety and vehicle policy administration
- Identification of and relationship management with key subcontractors
- Plan and lead monthly field team leader meetings, bi-monthly service meetings, and annual field meetings
- Participate in MGI idea generation and execution
- Be responsible for field 4DX WIG development, lead measures, and overall sustainability
- Assist with project bids and job planning sessions
- Interdepartmental coordination and communications
- Assist with the resolution of the Quality Control reports and utilize trendsfor training plans and operational changes
- Review customer service surveys and evaluate/resolve issues
- Perform root cause analysis on all invoice credits and prebill credits with technicians
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in the HVAC industry
- 1+ year of field leadership experience
- HS Diploma or GED

- Thorough knowledge of industry safety standards. (i.e., OSHA)
- Thorough knowledge of rules as defined by union agreements
- Thorough knowledge of construction sequencing, methodology, and resources.
- Willingness to travel as needed to properly manage responsibilities related to remote project sites.
- Must have PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software.
- A working knowledge of financial budgeting and analysis, and cost accounting practices and reporting.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years of management/supervisory experience in Field Operations in the HVAC Controls industry
- 1+ year of controls programming and integration experience
- OSHA 30
- Experience working in an office environment.
- Experience leading and managing a team
- Associate's Degree in a related field.
- Experience regularly compiling, trending, and reporting performance metrics utilizing raw data, utilizing spreadsheets or technology.
- Experience working regularly with business management software, including Microsoft Dynamics or a similar ERP system, Salesforce.com or similar CRM system, and Tableau or similar BI system.
- Advanced competency in financial forecasting/budgeting
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS
- Work involves moderate exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises.
- Work environment involves some exposure to construction-related hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
- Light physical effort. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds and some standing or walking.
- Work requires local and occasional out-of-town travel to job sites and customer locations.
