Overview
SNF is a specialty chemical group whose products, water-soluble polymers, contribute to treating, recycling, preserving water, saving energy, and reducing carbon footprint. The purpose of this position is to properly transfer all finished product in his/ her operation area, package it as directed by the material transfer sheet and order, while maintaining a clean and safe work area. This is an hourly, full-time, rotating shift position.
Responsibilities
- Understand packaging procedures.
- Be proficient with all responsibilities of a Packaging Operator as outlined in EPP-006.
- Know how to package product from all vessels in their area of operation and into all containers depicted in the order.
- Keep orders, hardcopies, and MTS organized.
- Identify and bring to the supervisor's attention delayed orders.
- Ensure correct samples are pulled and turned in.
- Obtain supplies as needed.
- Comply with all safety standards and rules as set by management, and using the correct protective gear.
- Comply to all environmental regulations: * Including, but not limited to: Using proper waste disposal methods
- Maintain a clean work environment by completing routine and non-routine housekeeping.
- Assist other floor operators as directed by the supervisor.
- Complete other routine and non-routine jobs as directed by management.
- Comply with cleanliness standards for cosmetic production and clean room operation.
- Department Specific: Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.
- Certification in Confined Space Rescue, Hazmat, First responder, Fire brigade.
- Participate in continuous improvement programs.
- Attend Safety Meeting, Site Safety Meetings and Safety Tours.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent - or GED - Required
EXPERIENCE:
- - Prior manufacturing experience - Preferred
- - Prior chemical handling experience - Preferred -
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Forklift Certification - Required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Understanding of chemical manufacturing and production
- Strong communication skills
- Proven teamwork ability
- Average-above average English and mathematical skills.
