Job Description The Compensation Partner designs, establishes, and assesses Northwest's organizational structure, career framework, job roles and essential functions, and pay structure. The Compensation Partner collaborates with management to assess the department's roles, responsibilities, and talent needs. Functions of this role include, but are not limited to creating and maintaining Northwest's career framework, grading structure(s), and job descriptions, market pricing, compensation survey participation, and org chart creation and maintenance. Essential Functions
Partner with department leadership to ensure that the organizational structure, job roles and essential functions, and pay structure align with company strategies Enhance, design and refine the organizational structures, job descriptions, and career frameworks for each department by leading the design, developing and recommending options by providing modeling and analysis, and providing relevant market data to support the decision-making process Assist with continuing to evolve an equitable compensation system across Northwest including the review of career levels, evaluation criteria, job families, job titles, and job descriptions Assist leaders with mapping out team expansion and suggest areas of improvement while aligning employees' skills with Northwest's needs Assist with the creation of career development plans that focus on the growth within the employee's current and future roles Maintain knowledge and expertise on compensation trends Assess competitive labor market trends and the market environment to ensure competitive pay practices are in place that also support Northwest's pay philosophy and recommend changes as necessary Identify and research changing compensation laws and provide recommendations on next actions Analyze compensation policies, government regulations, and prevailing wage rates to assist with the development of a competitive pay structure and career path opportunities Manage external vendor relationships as required to support the compensation area's needs Perform cost analysis or modeling of potential outcomes due to market pricing or pay equity review Assist with maintenance of compensation guidelines by writing and updating pay policies, procedures, and structures Resolve employee questions and problems by interpreting policies and procedures Work with HR business partners as well as external business partners to address compensation related issues Create additional training related materials to foster a greater understanding of various components of the compensation area Assist with other components of compensation as needed including Equity Programs, bonus payments, merit increase cycle, etc. Ensure compliance with Northwest's policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency Work as part of a team Work with on-site equipment
Education and Qualifications preferred
Bachelor's degree 5-6 years of experience in Human Resources 5-6 years of experience with Compensation Administration with a focus on organization design, career framework, and job descriptions
