Training Specialist

The Training Specialist works closely with the Human Resources,
Operations and Quality Departments to coordinate and facilitate company
training and development programs. This
position is the primary resource for IPC technical trainings such as IPC-A-610,
J-STD-001 and is required to maintain an active IPC CIT certification level.

Our Facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma manufactures state-of-the-art circuit boards for Aerospace and Defense.

Job Summary

  • Work closely with the Human Resources and Operations departments to prepare and maintain training and certification plans for IPC requirements
  • Work with the HR department and department managers to coordinate the training needs for new employees
  • Schedule training activities with management so that training system requirements are maintained according to plan
  • Perform administrative tasks needed to maintain the training system database, which includes training records and files
  • Assist in the planning and execution of training activities that are a result of formal corrective actions
  • Perform leadership and/or technical skills training (e.g. solder) for new and existing employees in order to satisfy Quality System requirements
  • Managing and maintaining in-house training facilities and equipment
  • Researching training suppliers and materials as needed - including details, cost comparison, and timelines
  • Creating and maintaining training procedures and work instructions as needed to support the training system
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including leading projects and participation in project committees

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Knowledge of J-Std-001, IPC-A-610 and IPC-7711/21; CIT certification is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS, LMS and compliance software programs
  • Knowledge of Compliant Pro a plus
  • Strong project management skills - ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Experience running and manipulating reports from LMS systems
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as good decision-making thought processes
  • Proficient in all Microsoft and Outlook programs; highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills including the ability to articulate complex ideas in a simple manner
  • Ability to effectively communicate among all levels within the organization.

Required Experience and Education

  • Associate's degree in Business, Engineering, Quality or related area preferred.
  • 3+ years in manufacturing/production, engineering or quality.
  • Preferred experience in a electronics / circuit card manufacturing business

Licenses,
Certifications, etc.

  • IPC certified trainer for 610, J-STD, 620, and 7711/7722 preferred
