Command, Control, Intelligence, and Encryption (C2I&E) By joining our Command, Control, Intelligence, and Encryption (C2I&E) business, you will be a member of a team dedicated to providing innovative solutions that streamline the preparation and execution of intricate, mission-critical operations. We focus on enhancing situational awareness, tactical command and control, and seamless video data exchange capabilities within a dynamic, multi-domain environment.
Ultra I&C is seeking a Systems Administrator to join our IT team in Tampa, FL. This is an onsite role with core hours of 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional after-hours work as required. The Systems Administrator will primarily support our Tampa office (30-40 employees) and provide remote support to our Germantown, MD office (7 employees). This role reports to the VP of IT and will work closely with other U.S. and global IT team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on support for classified and unclassified systems in Tampa and Germantown. Administer and support Microsoft Windows systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, and security policies. Manage VMware ESXi environments, storage, and backups. Support Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Azure Entra). Troubleshoot and resolve user requests, hardware/software issues, and network problems. Serve as local escalation point for complex or critical system issues. Maintain compliance with NIST RMF, DAAPM, and NISPOM requirements in coordination with the ISSM and ISSO. Document solutions and update knowledgebase articles. Participate in IT projects and collaborate with colleagues across sites. Ensure systems and data are operated, maintained, and disposed of in line with security requirements. Other duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Systems Administrator in a Microsoft Windows environment. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain US Government Security Clearance. Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years' experience or Associates Degree with 5+ years of experience or High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 7+ years of experience Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Security. Experience with VMware ESXi administration. Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments. Familiarity with DAAPM, RMF, and NISPOM requirements.
Desired Qualifications:
Able to work independently and take ownership of issues at a remote site. Experience with Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, Azure Entra, or enterprise applications. Cisco networking, firewall, and VPN administration experience. CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CCNA, or related certifications. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
