Summary of Job Duties:Provide TRIO students with academic assistance. Provide a welcoming environment for students, full of patience, care and encouragement. Be aware of campus resources available to students and refer students whenever appropriate. Maintain confidentiality and mutual respect at all times. Discuss/create a list of tutoring ground rules and prepare a contract for both parties to sign, including appropriate boundaries and time management techniques if necessary. Turn in hours electronically to payroll on time and tutoring logs to the Tutoring Coordinator on time. Attend all required trainings. Implement TRIO policies and procedures. Tutors are also expected to monitor the tutoring area and lab area according to the TRIO Tutor Guidelines, immediately reporting any issues that may arise. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications:

Sufficient skills to tutor in the selected discipline/courses and grades of B or higher in the discipline/course. Official transcripts and as well as recommendation from an instructor/program chairperson/staff person are required. Comfort with technology is a must.
