Proctor Online exams for UACCB courses

Be available for a mix of day, evening, and possibly Saturday to work.

Maintain FERPA and other privacy rules that apply to student information and test information.

Maintain privacy of information seen on Blackboard regarding student information, grades, exam and quiz information and any other information such as but not limited to passwords and login information.

If proctoring is from home, must have reliable internet and a private space to work while proctoring.

Communicate clearly to supervisor and students who are testing.

If students have concerns about the test that only the instructor can answer, call and/or email the instructor.

If you are aware that accommodations such as extra time or a screen reader should be provided to a student and the student states it is NOT showing this, ask the student to NOT start the test and you should contact the instructor ASAP. Other accommodations may also apply. These should be confirmed by the instructor.

Communicate to the instructor of the course and to your supervisor, ASAP if you will not be able to proctor during a certain time period. If communication is by email, make sure you get a reply or contact the next person listed to notify.

Confirm your work schedule each week with your supervisor.

Enter time worked in WorkDay on the 15th and 30th of each month, or at the end of each week.

For proctoring on campus, the above privacy and security measures still apply.

Some on-campus proctoring may be required.

If proctoring on campus, make sure the supervisor knows you are proctoring on campus instead of virtually.

Maintain requested security measures for tests, including watching screens for test violations, such as other people entering a room or non-authorized items being in the room. If someone passes by or starts to enter a room and is asked to leave, ask the student to move the camera to show that no one is in the room and continue the test.

For testing violations, notify the instructor via email as soon as possible, the day of the test.

Any irregularities should be emailed to the instructor and supervisor Qualifications:

Required: ability to communicate verbally and in writing with others; attention to detail; experience with computers and Microsoft Word and Excel; able to work independently and follow instructions. Must be comfortable with using computers and have problem-solving skills. Must have reliable Internet at home if proctoring from home.

Preferred: associate's or bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; experience with Blackboard or other student learning management system; has proctoring experience
