Job Summary

Develop strategic direction for Heartland customer management to deliver financial and market share goals, as well as brand partner, National Retail Sales and Heartland strategic initiatives. Plan and continuously evaluate channel business objectives and drive efficiency acting as a thought leader for our company and the system.


Influence the system by developing relationships with the Bottling system, National Retail Sales, Brand Partners, PRGM and the customer. Establish collaborative relationships with internal Heartland stakeholders including PRGM, General Managers, Finance, Commercial, and Demand Planning functions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and present the annual channel business plans including, priorities, marketing, asset, brand partners and customer acceleration activities.
  • Develop and support the sell in of customer plans that include annual CMA's (Customer Marketing Agreements), strategic and tactical pricing plans and promotional plans that align with and support the customer's and Heartland's business objectives and strategies
  • Empower a high-performing team of sales professionals as their visionary leader, removing barriers to achieve exceptional results. Cultivate a culture of growth within the Hometown leadership team to ensure best in class execution of channel business plans.
  • Establish positive, collaborative relationships at senior and mid-levels with channel customers, creating opportunities to drive revenue, margin and DNGP and plans that deliver both Heartland and customer goals.
  • Acts as the key liaison between Heartland, brand partners, and the bottling system to provide thought leadership around initiatives involving brand, packages, innovation and asset utilization.
  • Align with NRS and internal RGM team to ensure forecasts and budget goals are being met to include balancing effective spend of CTM and CFF through accrual management.
  • Conduct pre and post promotional analysis measuring the success levels of activities with key stakeholders to make any necessary changes to price/package plan.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of two years of work experience required, or minimum of six years of progressive job experience, including people management, multi-level communication, and leadership required. Master's Degree preferred.
  • Experience in sales, marketing or account management and leadership required.
  • Strong sales background with solid understanding of company selling procedures.
  • Previous experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods industry required.
  • Effectively communicates & builds relationships at all organizational levels; ability to both present ideas and influence decisions at leadership level
  • Strong leadership and people skills to broadly influence and effectively forge partnerships both internally and externally.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills and the ability to leverage data to inform revenue strategies and decision-making.
  • Valid Driver's License, current vehicle liability insurance, driving record within policy guidelines.

Pay:$120,405 - $142,981 a year
