We're seeking a Managing Director in Portland in Retail to help us take vision to value and create lasting impact.
SUMMARY
Managing Directors are responsible for the development of a portfolio of client accounts and the overall relationship of assigned account(s), including account growth, quality of delivery, client satisfaction, risk management, profitability, and team effectiveness. KEY RESPONSIBILIES
Business Development:
- Drive top-of-funnel business development activities to identify and secure new technology focused consulting opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients.
- Partner with the local client leadership and delivery teams to expand technology offerings.
- Create compelling proposals and lead pitch presentations to prospective clients
Technology Consulting Leadership:
- Lead complex technology consulting engagements from inception to completion
- Provide strategic technology advice and solutions to address client challenges
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality consulting services that meet or exceed client expectations
- Develop thought leadership content (e.g., whitepapers, articles, presentations)
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences
Team Management:
- Build, mentor, and lead a team of technology consultants
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and excellence
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERTISE REQUIRED
- Retail industry knowledge - understanding of the retail industry, trends, and happenings.
- Retail Technology knowledge - deep understanding of technology supporting retail businesses (including but not limited to ERP, POS, inventory planning & management, CRMs, and e-commerce platforms)
- Technical knowledge of data & analytics, engineering, AI, and technical program leadership.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; MBA preferred
- 10+ years of experience in technology consulting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Proven track record in business development and client relationship management
- Strong understanding of various technologies and their business applications
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams
- Experience in project management and delivering complex consulting engagements
