General Summary of Position ThisPRN Research Assistant will work as needed outside of regular hours, as transplants happen many times in the evenings, late at night, weekends, and holidays. Under direct or close supervision, provides technical lab and clinical research assistance to the research team to facilitate a variety of research activities including pre-clinical work, study development and protocol management, literature review, participant screening and recruitment, data collection, analysis and dissemination, and database management. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Participates in or leads preclinical projects for the research team.Provides technical support, such as cell isolation, for the lab and biorepository collection/banking team.Performs qualitative and/or quantitative research data collection, as requested.Assists with data management and analysis as needed.Communicates effectively with research investigators, staff and collaborators.Assists with the organization and maintenance of research records as needed.Assists with the recruitment, selection, scheduling, and consenting of research participants as required.Prepares timely reports and presentations of project data and progress as required.
Minimum Qualifications Education
- Bachelor's degree in a health, science, other related field preferred
- Associate degree in a health or science related field required or equivalent education/experience required
Experience
- Undergraduate and/or work experiences that demonstrate aptitude for research facilitation required
- Previous work in a research setting preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills including use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Must be flexible, highly motivated, dedicated and capable of working both independently and on various team projects in a diverse setting.
This position has a hiring range of $18.33 - $31.61
