  • Hillcrest Medical Center is a 656-bed hospital that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women's Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, the latest technology for the treatment of cancer, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for patient care coordination on designated shifts for the HMC campus in patient care areas in collaboration with the administrator on call.
  • To ensure quality patient care consistent with the philosophy and objectives of the organization, this position provides direct operational support for the hospital on a shift basis, acts as a clinical resource person for the staff and acts as a liaison between staff and management.
  • Works with the staffing office as needed to assure the best possible patient care is always given.
  • Provides the communication link between manager, staff, patients, physicians and others.
  • Assists in patient placement as requested by transfer coordinator and in the planning of emergency nursing interventions.
  • Facilitates problem resolution and collaborates with administration, and the Medical Director in assessing quality of care provided, identifying staff strengths and weaknesses, and in evaluation of staff performance.
  • Interface with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive care planning is also required.

Qualifications

  • 2-year associate degree
  • Three to five years of experience
  • Current Oklahoma RN License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certified
  • National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certified
