The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director and Co-Director, the Project Coordinator will assist with projects, programming and communications. She/he/they will have internal and external responsibilities ranging from project management (programming logistics and leadership) to administration (day-to-day operations and Lerner Center for Public Health Promotion [Lerner Center] communications) and human capital (building community partnerships and assisting students). The Project Coordinator will also work closely with the Healthy Mondays team to develop and disseminate health promotion/education materials and programming.

Responsibilities

Operations and Communications

* Administer day-to-day operations (e.g. meetings, reporting, internal/partner communications)
* Design and assemble Lerner Center newsletter and/or Healthy Monday "Monday Morning Buzz" newsletter
* Generate content (articles/graphics) for newsletters and website
* Develop one-pagers, brochures, PowerPoint presentations and other materials to promote Healthy Mondays and Lerner Center

Healthy Mondays and Community Applied Practicum Experience (APEx) Project Management

* Organize Healthy Monday-inspired educational workshops, trainings, and other events (e.g. event logistics, promotion, event coverage) to engage students and community partners
* Coordinate the Community APEx Program; Design APEx curricula with select community organizations; Recruit, train and manage students
* Strengthen Lerner Center relationships with strategic community stakeholders
* Work collaboratively to fulfill community projects and seek opportunities to expand awareness of the Lerner Center and Healthy Mondays
* Assess impact of Healthy Mondays programming with community partners

Health Communication Students & Certificate Management

* Assist with Seminar in Health Communication planning and logistics (e.g. seminar speakers, Courseworks/student communications)
* Coordinate CHES exam and CHES exam prep for all interested HP and HC students
* Strengthen partnerships with alumni network; Brainstorm collaborations with alumni working in the health communication field
* Work closely with Office of Field Practice to develop and amplify APEX positions for Health Communication students
* Assist with Health Messaging for Justice Student Competition planning and logistics
* Assist with National Lerner Center Health Communication Competition
* Help to coordinate student awards and award ceremony

Essential Functions

* Administer day-to-day operations, coordination of projects and communications (25%)
* Develop, implement and evaluate Healthy Mondays/community program (25%)
* Organize and promote educational workshops, seminars series, trainings, and other health promotion events (20%)
* Management APEX students and projects (20%)
* Assist with Health Communication Certificate (10%)

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's Degree in Public Health and/or its equivalent
* Experience with health promotion research and practice (e.g. theory, needs assessment, intervention design, program evaluation)
* Experience with health communication
* Experience assisting with educational and/or community programming
* Experience with graphic design and websites
* Research experience (e.g. qualitative research, quantitative research, literature review)

Other Requirements

* Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Fluency in digital communications platforms and strategies (e.g. social media, Eventbrite, Mailchimp)
* Experience designing surveys (via Qualtrics or SurveyMonkey)
* Experience working and/or collaborating with community agencies
* Strong ability to multi-task, operate efficiently and work independently
* Strong written and verbal communication skills; Strong presentation skills
* High level of attention to detail, well-organized
* Ability to work with a wide range of constituencies, and exercise tact and discretion when interacting with faculty, community staff/members and students
* Demonstrated experience in storytelling and creative work (digital storytelling experience is a plus!)
* Experience with graphic design and software such as Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite
* Experience with video-making including familiarity with a video editing software (WeVideo, Final Cut Pro, Filmora, etc)
