The role in question involves identifying optimal sources for executing security trades, focusing on various financial instruments, and managing cash needs in the Cavanal Hill mutual funds. Job Description The Cavanal Hill Investment Management Trader I is primarily responsible for identifying the best source for execution of security trades with the brokerage industry. This position will focus on repurchase agreements, Treasury bills/notes, agency securities, municipal bonds, and equity securities; The Trader I will monitor accounts daily for trade settlement issues as well as be responsible for managing the cash needs in the Cavanal Hill mutual funds. How You'll Spend Your Time You will daily invest in money market funds and execute broker repurchase agreements, adhering to SEC guidelines and best execution practices. You'll help traders execute trades, choose the best broker and system, analyze securities for optimal performance, record completed trades, and coordinate with wealth management and brokers to solve settlement issues. You'll oversee client accounts, manage funds, ensure compliance, and monitor security ratings. Education & Experience Requirements This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in security trading or 7-8 years equivalent work experience. NASD Series 65 required or the willingness to acquire the license. Thorough knowledge of fixed income and equity securities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Excellent PC skills including word processing and spreadsheet applications. Excellent developmental and analytical skills Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work under extreme pressures with strict time frames.
