SCOPE/CONTACTS:

Provide leadership, direction, and guidance for all Bank activities to ensure the Bank's short- and long-term profitabilityand equitable treatment and development of employees. Establish long, intermediate, and short-term goals to fulfill the mission and objectives of the Bank. The Incumbent is responsible for managing all aspects of the Bank's operations to ensure maximum profits commensurate with the best interests of shareholders, customers, employees, and the public. Expectations include providing leadership to establish overall objectives, policies, and plans for the region. The Incumbent serves as part of top management in thedevelopment of strategic planning and may also act as the company's principal representative. The Incumbent will be expected to work with subordinate staff to review overall operations and advise on policy questions, business development, staff requirements, performance appraisals, salary administration, compliance with banking laws and regulations, and adherence to the Bank's policies and procedures. The Incumbent will also function as a lending officer. The Incumbent critiques and guides other loan officers and ensures deviation from standard policies and procedures are approved. The Incumbent has a full range of responsibilities and is broadly responsible for the total results in the region, making recommendations for improvements, budgetary needs, etc. The Incumbent will represent the bank in business development efforts, participate in civic and community events, and maintain and foster relationships to enhance the bank's growth. The Incumbent should be service-oriented, professional, friendly, and enjoy a fast-paced atmosphere.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Review loans and lending procedures to ensure the maximum overall profitability of the Bank's lending activities.

  • Manage the Bank's loan portfolio, constantly develop new and existing business, and enhance the existing business.

  • Direct and motivate officers and employees involved in lending and operations.

  • Must actively participate in Customer Service First sales and service culture, support the organization's values, and follow established company policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Seven years of commercial lending and senior-level management experience in credit and lending activities are required.

  • Credit analysis, accounting principles, banking laws/regulations and operations, management principles, marketing techniques, communication skills, and economics acquired by a college degree and management training programs.

  • The incumbent must have prudent judgment in decisions involving lending activities and in handling customers, subordinate officers, and employees.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
