ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION PRODUCT STRATEGY MANAGER

SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN - WORLD HEADQUARTERS

As a member of the Product Management team, the Product Manager will be responsible for: Leading strategy projects to support Electrical Distribution Systems (Wire Harness). This will include research and analysis, building models, frameworks, and synthesizing insights into the clear strategic narratives.

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:



  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement product strategies for automotive electrical distribution systems, focusing on market trends and customer needs
  • Project Leadership: Lead advanced product projects from proposal approval to conclusion, accelerating future company products concept and business decisions
  • Market Analysis: Understand market dynamics, including competitive landscape, customer profiles, and emerging technologies in wiring harnesses and connection systems
  • Revenue Growth: Identify and explore new revenue opportunities through new technologies, products, and Vertical Integration, leveraging market insights and customer feedback
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and purchasing teams to ensure cohesive short, mid and long product strategies and advanced projects
  • Customer Engagement: Support Sales team by exploring and analyzing customer profiles to tailor "plant-to-conquer" new project and business expansion
  • Management Reports: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to stakeholders, including executive leadership, customers, and partners



The Hour-by-Hour Task Breakdown:

Market research and analysis 60%

Strategic material building (Excels, Power Points, White Papers) 20%

Ad-Hoc Project Support 20%

Your Qualifications:



  • Wiring Harness Experience: 5+ years of experience in wiring harness product development area related: product engineering, process engineering, product quality or program management, with ability to read wiring harness drawings (2D), BoMs and components specs
  • EDS components understanding: know the diversified types of components used in wiring harness, their application in the product and assembled in vehicle, as well the main components suppliers
  • Wiring Harness manufacturing awareness: familiarity with key processes of wiring harness production, main design enablers and constrains for manufacturing (DFM) and automation (DFA)
  • Architecture notion: understand the basic E/E architecture with ability to read schematics and awareness of new architecture under development
  • Data Analysis: experience with excel, ability to collect and analyze diversified data set, as well create graphics for data results and recommendations
  • Presentation Proficiency: experience with Power Point, with ability to create cohesive and objective slides, from executive summary, key project data analysis to conclusion and recommendations



Bonus If You Have:

Master's in Business Administration or similar field
