Elastic Engineer

Location:Washington DC
Clearance: Secret Clearance Required
Salary Range:$90-160k + benefits

KeyLogic is seeking a highly skilled Elastic Engineer for potential work to support our federal client in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure Elastic Stack (ELK) solutions. You will be responsible for managing Elasticsearch clusters, building dashboards in Kibana, and integrating various log and metric sources. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash, Beats, Kibana, and a solid understanding of observability and search-related technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash, Beats, and Kibana.
  • Strong understanding of Elasticsearch architecture, sharding, indexing, and replication.
  • Proficiency in JSON, YAML, and regular expressions.
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and managed Elastic offerings.
  • Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes (ECK is a plus).
  • Knowledge of monitoring, APM, and SIEM use cases in Elastic.
  • Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Elastic Security, Elastic APM, or Machine Learning modules.
  • Knowledge of SIEM, log retention policies, and compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA).
  • Elasticsearch certification (e.g., Elastic Certified Engineer) is a strong plus.
  • Experience with data visualization tools outside of Kibana (Grafana, Tableau, etc.).
