Automation Engineer

Location:Washington DC
Clearance: Secret Clearance Required
Salary Range:$90-160k + benefits

KeyLogic is seeking an Automation Engineer for potential work to design, build and maintain scalable automation solutions for our federal client. You will use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Ansible, AWS CloudFormation, and Terraform. You will play a critical role in improving the infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud provisioning processes for our client.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure automation or DevOps.
  • Proficiency with Terraform and/or CloudFormation for AWS infrastructure provisioning.
  • Strong experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation.
  • Solid understanding of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Comfortable with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Shell).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect).
  • Experience with other cloud providers (Azure, GCP) and multi-cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch.
