36 Join Our Vision Services Team as an Ophthalmic Tech I! Are you passionate about patient care and looking to grow your career in eye health? We're seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to support our eye care team by assisting physicians during appointments and performing diagnostic testing. No prior optical experience is required-we'll provide all the training you need! What is Available:
  • 0.9 FTE, 36 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday; typically between 7:30am - 5:00pm
  • Clinics this role will cover are: Decorah and Waukon, IA, Prairie du Chien, Viroqua, Hillsboro, Friendship, Sparta, Tomah, Black River Falls, Whitehall, Lacrosse, and Onalaska, WI, and Winona
  • Starting rate of $19.86/hr
  • $1.25/hour float differential
What You'll Do:
  • Provide technical assistance during patient appointments
  • Perform diagnostic testing to support clinical care
  • Deliver a high-quality experience to patients and guests
  • Travel to Gundersen optical locations including:
    Decorah and Waukon, IA
    Prairie du Chien, Viroqua, Hillsboro, Friendship, Sparta, Tomah, Black River Falls, Whitehall, La Crosse, and Onalaska, WI
    Winona, MN

What You'll Need:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience
  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification through JCAHPO within 18 months of hire
