We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager. This position willdirect, plan, and organize the company assets to execute the established production plan. The Supply Chain Manager will promote constraint management, lean manufacturing, and IATF/ISO/TS 16949 principles in their daily activities. This Supply Chain Manager will be a valued member of the Materials/Logistics department where we strive to promote from within wherever possible; therefore, opportunities for advancement are strong.

RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Provide leadership of plant Customer Service, Planning, Purchasing, Scheduling, Receiving, Warehouse, and Shipping responsibilities.
  • Development, implementation, and control of all aspects of materials needed to effectively manage the plant supply chain. Implement new and improved supply chain processes for each value stream.
  • Provide accurate weekly/monthly sales and inventory projections to Finance.
  • Ensure customer delivery scores are promoted and maintained at or above targeted levels.
  • Ensure business plan customer delivery and inventory targets are met.
  • Assess appropriate material handling equipment needs and staffing levels to load, unload, move, or store materials.
  • Support the Purchasing Manager with monthly supplier performance data.
  • Monitor forecasts to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.
  • Provide level loaded production plans to the value streams.
  • Design and implement plant warehousing strategies for production materials or finished products.
  • Lead and support Integrated Business Planning (IBP) in forecasting demand and creating supply plans to ensure the availability of materials to meet customer requirements.
  • Define supply chain performance metrics for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Teamwork.
  • Establish continuous improvement efforts to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, and optimize customer service.
  • Participate in the coordination of engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material or production flow.
  • Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, or receiving.
  • Develop and maintain procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, or quality assurance.
  • Facilitate the purchase of materials, parts, supplies, or services necessary for the operation of the facility.
  • Support customer and supplier contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to determine the need for changes.
  • Monitor and control all incoming and outgoing freight expenses.
  • Lead and support FMOS (Federal-Mogul Operating System) efforts within the Materials department including but not limited to 5s, visualization, flow racks for finished goods, etc.



EDUCATION:

Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree; Preferably Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or related field

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:



  • 5 years of experience in production management or related field
  • APICS Certification and Lean/Six Sigma Experience preferred
  • ERP/MRP system knowledge - SAP knowledge is preferred
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and managerial skills
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Proven leadership ability
  • Strong decision making, problem solving and strategic thinking
  • Continuous improvement mindset
