This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a hardworking team of specialists and accomplished experts in Program Planning & Controls (PP&C), you will develop and maintain program plans for various spaceflight systems. Partnered with Blue's Program Managers and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), there are multiple facets to your support of our spaceflight systems. We are seeking a proactive, service-oriented individual with excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills that can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Position Specific Details:

  • Shifts: A | Mon-Fri (6am-2:30pm)

  • Location: Van Horn, TX (Launch Site One)

  • Relocation: Available

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the creation and maintenance of the Integrated Master Schedule, integrating subordinate schedules for a comprehensive data set.
  • Coordinate with technical leadership to drive resource loading, analyze, and optimize schedules to meet milestones.
  • Implement effective baseline change control for tracking performance and conducting critical path and variance analysis.
  • Regularly lead status reviews, gathering inputs from stakeholders to facilitate progress updates, forecast changes, and communicate schedule metrics to program leadership.
  • Perform "what-if" scenario planning and schedule risk assessments, providing mitigation recommendations.
  • Support the maturation of the PP&C organization by analyzing and improving scheduling procedures, mentoring program planners, and driving the utilization of PP&C artifacts across the program team.
  • Partner with Program Cost Analysts to maintain integrated cost and schedule plans for program budgeting and cost analysis.
  • Report to the PP&C leader of one of our four business units, playing a key role in developing robust program plans and increasing the speed and efficiency of program delivery.

Van Horn Specific information:

Being at the heart of Blue Origin operations, the west Texas Site in Van Horn, TX offers eligible employee's additional attractive financial incentives to supplement their competitive base earnings, including a living allowance and relocation assistance. Eligibility for these additional benefits is based on the employee's ability to permanently relocate to Van Horn, TX.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Project Management, or Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in program scheduling/planning and controls
  • Experience with integrated master schedules with resource loading using Primavera (P6), Open Plan, MS Project, or other software
  • Experience and comfort with working in ambiguous environments and situations
  • Experience establishing new programs and performing complete overhauls/replans of existing programs
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Robust understanding of scheduling best practices and experience implementing and adapting best practices in a variety of business environments
  • Demonstrated success mentoring and developing lesser experienced planners and program teams
  • Strong computer skills (MS Excel, MS Project, MS Visio)
  • Strong communication skills in technical work environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expert user of Primavera P6
  • Experience establishing new program schedules
  • Experience in aerospace research and development and manufacturing environments
  • IPMR Customer Deliverables on EVM-required contracts
  • Experience with Deltek Cobra, Empower, or other cost/schedule integration and analysis tools
  • Experience in Program Finance roles and/or implementing Earned Value Management
  • Successful support of programs through DCMA/DCAA, joint site surveillance, or other government audits.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: Budgeting, cost analysis, and financial reporting
  • Proposal support including translation of estimates into IMSs upon award
  • MBA, or Project Management certification (PMP/Certified Project Manager)

  • Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.

  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
