Overview Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases. The Post-Doctoral Research Fellow (the "Position") will conduct scientific research within the lab of Paul Thomas, Ph.D., Professor in the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Division. Dr. Thomas's lab is researching innate and adaptive immunity to influenza and other respiratory viruses; T cell receptor repertoires in infection and cancer; influenza-associated immune-induced healing responses and pathology; and CD4 and CD8 T cell memory and recall potential. Responsibilities The Position will be involved with pursuing the major scientific research goals of Dr. Thomas's lab with a focus on studying immune resilience in the context of catastrophic diseases, including severe respiratory viral infections and cancer. In this light, the Position's specific job duties will include:
Perform experiments in using human samples and run immunology assays including flow cytometry, single cell sequencing, and high throughput immune repertoire sequencing.
Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
The annual base salary range for this position is from $77,976 to $95,014, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. This position may be eligible for relocation assistance.
