Daikin Applied is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Associate Manufacturing Business Analyst to join our team. In this critical role, you will support the end-to-end Order-to-Cash lifecycle, with a focus on key ERP functions including Inventory Management, Bill of Materials, Work in Progress (WIP), Discrete Manufacturing, Production Scheduling, and Warehouse Management (WM). What you will do:



  • Acquires some subject matter expertise from business customers and technical resources to acquire an understanding of "customer context", which consists of business processes and IT infrastructure and tools which support customer needs
  • Develops familiarity and understanding of business process, software application functionality and technology solution best practices within a specific business segment
  • Prepares, maintains and may be responsible for application, process and operations documentation as well as participates in preparing business requirements from which applications can be developed or modified
  • Engages with the business customers on business processes and practices associated with the IT systems that implement, support or enable those processes and practices.
  • Supports the collection and analysis of data and information from business users to understand how systems can solve business problems, and identifies opportunities for process improvement
  • Aids in analyzing possible project engagements, documenting project scope (objectives, deliverables, critical success factors, assumptions, global and regional considerations, and resource requirements), prioritization, cost/benefit, potential risks, and feasibility
  • Contributed to the definition of work and project scope, objectives and business requirements and research for selection of potential solutions
  • Helps in the production and review (from content to final draft) of user guides, training classes, and other end-user documentation for applications and processes
  • Assists in ensuring traceability of requirements, translation of business and system requirements into functional and technical specifications. Alerts team leadership when traceability appears weak, or is lost. Assists with impact analysis when changes to the requirements occur
  • Forges a network of beneficial relationships at appropriate levels within IT organizations and the customers of IT in order to establish mutual trust and provide a foundation for a project partnership.
  • Develops working relationships with internal groups
  • Develops fundamental skills to facilitate, influence, negotiate, and mediate discussions in order to achieve business goals and objectives
  • Participates in team interactions with third parties including application service providers and partners

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related or equivalent experience
  • 0 - 2 years' experience in a manufacturing or corporate business environment
  • Proficient in Oracle R12 or SAP S4/HANA
  • Must be willing and able to work in an end-user environment, assisting and supporting end users
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and administer business projects
  • Experience gathering, clarifying, quantifying and documenting business project requirements
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.


The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $68,800 - $80,000 in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
