Position Title: SandBlaster/Forklift
Wage: $18/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6am-2:30pm Join a hands-on role where precision meets power. As a SandBlaster/Forklift Operator at this Kansas City facility, you'll prep high-performance metal parts using cutting-edge equipment and unique blasting media - from aluminum oxide to walnut shells. If you take pride in physical work, have a sharp eye for detail, and are ready to drive results (literally, with a forklift), this is your opportunity to thrive in a dynamic, safety-first environment. SandBlaster/Forklift Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Perform blasting using various media such as aluminum oxide, mineral media, glass beads, and walnut shells - Adjust blasting equipment to achieve precise surface profiles required for fluoropolymer coatings - Mask parts as per client specifications prior to coating - Assist with shipping and receiving, including forklift operations and shrink-wrapping - Conduct quality inspections and complete required documentation (training provided) - Pack and prepare finished parts for delivery - Perform general maintenance on equipment and facility SandBlaster/Forklift Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent (nationally recognized) - Welding, grinding, or other metalworking skills are a plus - Ability to lift 40-50 pounds occasionally - Sit-down forklift required - Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift - Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and reaching - Ability to work with hands and arms extended for periods of time - Comfortable operating hand tools, machinery, and forklifts - Capable of wearing appropriate PPE for blasting and coating environments (including respirators, gloves, goggles, etc.) - Strong attention to detail and ability to work with finesse and speed - Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) - Willingness to learn and cross-train in other areas - Strong attendance and punctuality history QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
