*Description*
Financial Institution is seeking an experienced Construction Defects Claims Consultant. Fully Remote for 12 - 18 months with an opportunity to go permanent. This position is open due to losing 2 permanent employees. *The ideal candidate will be able to:* * Investigate, evaluate, and resolve a caseload of new or reassigned construction defect claims (target 80 - 90 claims). * Follow the company guidelines in documenting activities in the electronic claim files, including the management of emails and letters, the claim investigation including coverage, damage analysis, and liability, and the basis for reserves / changes, * Analyze standard ISO GL policies and related policy provisions to determine the duty to defend/indemnify, analyze covered damages, and issue position letters, including reservation of rights letters and denials. * Understand risk transfer, issue timely tender letters, implement aggressive follow-up efforts, and respond to tenders from other parties. * Direct, collaborate, and coordinate with legal counsel as to claim handling strategy, the use of experts, and the general management of the litigation. * Timely complete reporting as required and escalate claims meeting certain metrics for management review. *Skills* claims, Construction Defects, litigation, Microsoft office *Additional Skills & Qualifications* * HS Diploma * 3+ years of experience in Construction Defect Claims #priorityeast *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
