JOB ANNOUNCEMENT ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF FINANCE OFFICE OF PUBLIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION Finance Unit Number of Positions: 2 (Additional vacancies possible pending budget approval) Salary: $115,992.00 annually Applications for this position will be accepted until 11:59 pm Central time on 08/17/2025. Under direction, this person will help oversee and direct the fiscal, budgetary, accounting and payables functions for OPSA, which supports the Public Safety Departments for the City of Chicago (OEMC, CPD, and CFD), and performs related duties as required. THIS POSITION IS EXEMPT FROM THE CAREER SERVICE. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications * At least three (3) years of supervisory experience in a role related to the responsibilities of the position; AND * At least 15 semester hours in Accounting or Finance; AND * Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a directly related field, PLUS at least five (5) years of professional financial management experience; OR
NOTE: You must provide your college or university transcripts with 15 credit hours of accounting courses at the time of the interview.
