Gemini is looking for a CNC/Waterjet Operator to join the team at our location in Cannon Falls, MN! Come be a part of a positive, people-first culture that is focused on leveraging each team members' strengths to help bring our customers' unique signage products to life.

Wage Range: $20.10-26.60 hourly base rate, with a 10% shift differential

Location: Cannon Falls, MN

Type: Full Time - Onsite

Schedule: Monday - Friday 11:00pm - 7:30am (overtime is scheduled as needed)

A day in the life of a CNC Waterjet Operator and Manufacturing Specialist at Gemini includes:

  • Creating basic programs and repairs using a CAD-CAM system.
  • On-site training & development.
  • Operating multiple modern-day Waterjet & CNC's:
    • Set-up
    • Deburring, inspecting, and offloading finished product
    • Tooling management
    • Preventative maintenance tasks
  • Operating crane lift assists.
  • Pace is steady, and you are on the move.
  • Working in a Team environment on one of the three shifts.
  • Prioritizes orders by ship dates and performs inspections before shipments to ensure compliance with customer requests.
  • Ensures material is moved around the facility in accordance with the manufactured process to meet the deadlines required.
  • The work environment is clean, bright, and shop environment heat is like seasonal outdoor heat.

Part of this role includes helping fabricate plaques through:

  • Read and understand blueprints and shop drawings in determining the nature of the products to be manufactured.
  • Understands the machining process of company products.
  • Organize and prioritize orders by manufacturing process, material, thickness and required ship dates.
  • Perform continuous inspection of all artwork/layouts for any discrepancies and/or conflicting information and contact the appropriate individual for verification and corrections.
  • Use root cause analysis to determine to cause of recuts/rework.
  • Communicate effectively with other shifts and departments.
  • Finishes faces of plaques/letters as required using stroke sander and/or buffing lathe.
  • Maintain records of all internal recuts and rework.
  • Operates all the department equipment in accordance with approved safety procedures and uses all safety devices approved by the department manager.
  • Always performs duties in a safe manner and follows approved safety procedures
  • Maintains an effective working relationship with fellow employees.
  • Always maintains department in a neat and orderly manner.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Operate a variety of power saws and routers, lifting metal sheets.
