Research Collaboration Coordinator

BlueHalo, an AV Company, is seeking a Research Collaboration Coordinator to join our multi-disciplinary team at the Materials and Manufacturing Directorate of the Air Force Research Laboratory (Dayton, OH). The role would identify and coordinate research collaboration opportunities related to biomaterials, polymers, nanomaterials, and other materials and manufacturing, with an emphasis on fostering domestic and international collaborations. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and capable of working independently, as well as an effective collaborator with researchers from different technical backgrounds.

Primary responsibilities:

• Identify specific research areas (related to biomaterials, polymers, nanomaterials, and other materials and manufacturing) that are of interest for collaborations
• Identify potential domestic and international collaboration partners with the desired subject matter expertise
• Coordinate and foster research collaborations with an emphasis on international collaborations and domestic collaborations, particularly those aligned with the DoD's Materials and Manufacturing Processes Community of Interest (CoI)

Requirements:

• Master's degree (PhD preferred) in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Biology, or other related technical discipline is required
• 3 years of experience in related materials and manufacturing research
• Must demonstrate a willingness to collaborate and engage in outreach efforts
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• This position requires working within a government facility and requires U.S. Citizenship
