Position Summary:
Command Cyber Solutions is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Control Analyst to support project financial tracking, cost reporting, and schedule monitoring for government contracts. The entry-level role is ideal for individuals with a strong interest in project management, finance, and government contracting. The Junior Project Control Analyst will assist senior analysts and project managers in maintaining accurate financial data, preparing reports, and supporting day-to-day project control activities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist in tracking project budgets, expenditures, and funding allocations to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
Support the preparation of cost estimates, forecasts, and financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Help maintain project schedules and cost baselines, updating data as changes occur.
Perform basic variance analyses to identify cost or schedule risks and escalate findings to senior analysts or project managers.
Assist in preparing financial reports for monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews.
Track contract modifications and help ensure accurate reflection in project cost and schedule data.
Provide administrative support for audits, reviews, and other compliance-related activities.
Work closely with project managers and finance teams to ensure data accuracy and timely reporting.

Professional certifications such as CAPM, PMP, or a financial management certification (e.g., CDFM) are a plus.
Experience Required:
2-4 years of experience in project controls, financial analysis, or related roles in government contracting or a project-based environment.
Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and government contracting principles is preferred.
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) or other project performance measurement methodologies preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Basic understanding of project financial management concepts, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking.
Familiarity with accounting or financial reporting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry, formulas, and basic reporting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and interacting with project teams.
Ability to work collaboratively within a project team and follow guidance from senior leadership.
Ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands:
This is a remote role, allowing flexibility to work from home while supporting project teams across various locations.
Must have a reliable internet connection and a suitable home office environment to perform daily tasks effectively.
Occasional virtual meetings during core business hours are required to collaborate with project managers and company leadership.
Minimal travel may be required.
