POSITION

The Associate is part of a dedicated Insurance Business Development, Relationship Management and Solutions team with ultimate responsibility for building out, growing, and supporting all activities associated with ensuring Allspring Global Investments remains a leader in the Insurance Asset Management space.

We currently operate in a hybrid working model, whereby you will be required to work in-office 3 days a week.

Location(s): Charlotte, NC or New York, NY

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Provide planning and support to the team's Senior Insurance Client Advisors and Client Advisors, in business development and relationship management activities and other tasks related to large and complex insurance clients, prospects, and related consultants
  • Create client presentations, prepare marketing and pitch materials, assist with managing pipeline and strategic outreach efforts
  • Primary responsibility for managing all aspects of routine and ad-hoc reporting for an assigned list of insurance clients ensuring completion and delivery to clients in a timely manner
  • Ensure all sales and relationship management activity is accurately recorded in CRM (Salesforce) and equip Senior Client Advisors and the Head of Insurance Solutions with relevant business and activity metrics on a routine and ad-hoc basis.
  • Leverage S&P Capital IQ and Nasdaq eVestment to conduct sales/market research and analysis
  • Contribute to business development efforts by preparing competitive and market analysis, interpreting the data, and generating ideas for new opportunities based on the analysis.
  • Develop and analyze complex client reports and commentaries, working closely with portfolio managers and other internal teams to deliver relevant materials to clients
  • Lead various projects including identifying resources, establishing timeframe and managing to milestones
  • Resolve complex operational, system-related and/or issues for internal and external clients
  • Develop a deep understanding of client/prospect/consultant needs and may consult certain relationships around investment strategy, performance, new solutions, and market developments
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and procedures providing for more efficient and timely execution of team tasks


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree and strong academic background
  • 0 -2 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or analytical field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with an exceptional attention to detail and excellent follow-through
  • Strong skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Ability to work flexible hours when needed
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Self-starter with the ability to act as a trusted point of contact for colleagues, clients, and prospects
  • Registration for FINRA Series 7 must be completed within 120 days of the hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 120 days of the hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Familiarity with fixed income and equity markets.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the asset management industry and products
  • Experience with Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems
  • Familiarity with S&P Capital IQ and Nasdaq eVestment
  • Active Series 7 license
  • Progress toward, or desire to pursue CFA
  • Knowledge and understanding of revenue driven goals and their implications


Base Pay Range: $100,000 - $120,000

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary bonus programs, or other annual or non-annual incentive or sales plans.)
