The Process Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, and efficiency. This role supports product and process development, production troubleshooting, and project execution across multiple sites. It requires strong technical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with a high degree of autonomy to drive improvements and ensure compliance with safety and sustainability standards.

Responsibilities




  • Process Design: Ability to design fixtures, jigs, process tooling, and process flow diagrams. Perform and manage failure mode and effects analysis and process hazard analysis.
  • Process Development: Test and validate new and improved processes through data collection, trials, and statistical analysis. Support transition of processes to production with control plans and documentation.
  • Product Design/Development: Create, evaluate, design, and test new materials, product designs, or configurations to reduce cost and meet market needs in collaboration with the sales team
  • Production Support: Provide day-to-day support for packaging line and clay processing operations. Investigate and resolve product non-conformances, perform root cause analysis, and manage corrective actions.
  • Maintenance Program Management: Support the setup of preventative maintenance schedules and documentation of new or modified equipment.
  • Project Management: Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, make project cost estimates including the resources, capital, and other requirements. Coordinate with other departments to execute project deliverables.
  • Support compliance to corporate guidelines and regulations for safety, sustainability, and the maintenance of two plants





Requirements




  • BS Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Process, Controls or similar
  • 3+ yrs experience in manufacturing environment desirable
  • Lean 6 Sigma, Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, SAP (preferred), AutoCAD, SolidWorks
