Why us, why now?

Lead Verification Associate plays a key role in supporting daily operations by leading verifier pods, managing quality assurance efforts, and serving as a subject matter expert on the AMCAS verification process. This position contributes to training, process improvements, and system support while ensuring data accuracy and consistency throughout the application verification process. The role also involves cross-functional collaboration, participation in user acceptance testing, and administrative support to the broader business operations team.

How will you make an impact?

Verification Processing & Inquiry Resolution:

* Maintain expert-level knowledge of AMCAS policies and verification processing instructions.

* Perform verification activities associated with the processing of AMCAS applications.

* Evaluate and compare applicant-submitted data to official transcripts and supporting documents.

* Meet individual production and quality targets within published timelines.

* Resolve verification-related inquiries and issues.

* Maintain applicant confidentiality and safeguard all information in compliance with data security protocols.

* Respond to AMCAS-related Salesforce inquiries and Verification email mailbox messages.

Management of Verifications Operations :

* Manage the Verification Workflow Admin Queue by accurately placing AMCAS applications on hold or returning them to applicants for missing or incomplete documentation or coursework.

* Maintain the college and university grading system database by updating the AMCAS Grading System Manual with the most accurate calendar and credit system for institutions.

* Contact institutions as needed to clarify transcript-related information.

* Serve as liaison for internal technical issues, coordinating with AMCAS Manager and other support teams.

* Respond to cross-departmental requests and collaborate in AMCAS-wide process alignment.

* Manage verification pods, including supporting productivity, morale, and communication within assigned groups.

* Assist the manager in ensuring smooth and efficient department operations.

Coaching/ Training:

* Train and guide new verifiers on AMCAS verification policies, tools, and systems.

* Develop and deliver training materials, job aids, and documented procedures.

* Conduct group and individual training sessions.

* Review and analyze application errors and provide constructive feedback.

* Monitor verifier progress and skill development; provide weekly progress reports to the Verification Supervisor.

* Coach experienced verifiers as needed on policy updates, quality findings, and system/process changes.

Team Collaboration:

* Assist in supporting the needs of other AMCAS departments.

* Participate in and lead delegated projects and meetings.

* Manage and delegate responsibilities for special and seasonal projects

What will you bring to the role?

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma; Associate's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.

  • 3 - 5 years of related work experience

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a high-volume, detail-oriented processing environment.

  • Prior experience coaching or mentoring team members in a professional setting.

  • Experience supporting or facilitating training programs or onboarding processes for new staff.

  • Experience with workflow coordination or queue management in a production-based environment.

Remote Work Eligibility

This position is eligible for remote work in the contiguous US

Compensation Grade Range

$59,160.00-$69,600.00

Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors may include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, as well as internal equity, market, and business considerations.

If a bachelor's degree is required, related work experience may be substituted in some positions. One year of college course work at an accredited institution is equivalent to one year of related work experience.
