We are hiring a Capacity Manager to... Drive production success by turning complex schedules into actionable plans using cutting-edge APS tools. Collaborate with plant teams to align customer demand with real-time capacity and material availability. Be the strategic link that ensures every plan supports both business goals and customer satisfaction.
What You Will Be Doing:
  • Lead the capacity management team in developing daily and weekly resource plans to ensure efficient use of manufacturing capabilities.
  • Design and optimize production schedules based on material availability and resource constraints, balancing operational efficiency with customer demand.
  • Continuously maintain and adjust the planning model to reflect changes in the manufacturing environment, ensuring accuracy and responsiveness.
  • Drive improvements in the planning model aligned with the principles of the Steelcase Production System, supporting long-term operational excellence.
  • Perform simulations to analyze the impact of changes in resources, demand, or materials, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications
  • SAP experience: Proven ability to navigate and utilize SAP for planning, scheduling, or production-related tasks.
  • 5+ years in a manufacturing environment: Solid understanding of operational dynamics, production flows, and plant-level challenges.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel: Comfortable using formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools to support planning and reporting.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and flows: Ability to interpret and work within complex production systems.
  • Experience with multiple planning software tools: Adaptable to various digital platforms used for scheduling and resource management.
  • Strong communication skills: Capable of effectively interacting with cross-functional teams and all levels of management.
  • Team-oriented mindset: Collaborative approach with a focus on shared goals and continuous improvement.
  • Analytical thinking: Able to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Comfortable in high-stress, fast-paced environments: Thrives in dynamic settings with shifting priorities.
  • Customer service orientation: Committed to delivering high-quality service and responsiveness to internal and external stakeholders.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Experience in capacity management and scheduling: Demonstrated ability to plan, allocate, and optimize resources effectively in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree: Completed undergraduate studies in a relevant field such as Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
