We are looking for an EHS Coordinator to help us keep safety awareness high and ensure all employees are aware that safety is the company's number one priority. As a Trex EHS Coordinator, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining a safe workplace. This role is a key member of our EH&S team.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Put safety first - Always!
  • Work as a team to drive our "people first" culture
  • Develop and maintain a safe workplace. Keep safety awareness high and ensure that all employees are aware that safety is the company's number one priority. Work with the manufacturing EHS Manager to ensure that the site operations are compliant with all accepted safety practices.
  • Develop and promote best practice safety programs through employee training, safety team activities, managing industry safe program audits and data, and incident investigation and tracking. Work to improve safety performance at all times.
  • Maintain all required safety training records and ensure compliance with all OSHA-required record-keeping.
  • Work to maintain good employee morale and manage employee welfare events.
  • Meet yearly manufacturing plan objectives in the areas of environmental, health, and safety.
  • Support all other site activities as necessary.

EXPERIENCE



  • A degree from an accredited college or university along with 2 years of relevant EHS experience.

    • In lieu of a degree, a high school diploma with at least 5 years of relevant EHS experience will be considered.


  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, along with an OSHA 10 or 30 certification, is a plus.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, including strong technical writing and excellent people skills, are required.
  • Must have demonstrated leadership abilities in a self-directed team environment.

SALARY

Base Salary Range: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

The salary range provided serves as a general guideline for potential compensation for this position. It reflects the base salary and does not account for other benefits or additional compensation opportunities that may apply. This role is also eligible for further compensation through an annual/sales bonus, in addition to the base salary.

At Trex, individual base salaries are determined based on various factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. We are committed to maintaining pay equity and consider the internal equity of our existing team members when finalizing compensation offers.
