Position Overview

This position is a paid internship for a college student currently working towards a degree in Accounting, Finance, or another related field. As an Accounting Intern you will support a wide range of accounting processes including reconciliation of vendor invoicing and accounts payable data entry. The Accounting Intern is responsible for providing overall support to the Accounting Department.


Responsibilities

* Match vendor invoices to the appropriate purchase orders/purchase requisitions and receiving reports.
* Verify prices charged by vendor are accurate.
* Setup the voucher for payment and enter them into the accounts payable system.
* Reconcile vendor statements.
* Scan and organize files electronically.
* Assist Financial Controller with various projects.


Qualifications

* Currently enrolled in higher education seeking an Accounting, Finance or related major.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication.
* Demonstrated ability to prioritize.
* Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
