We are seeking a Contracts Manager to become a part of a diverse corporate contracts team supporting BlueHalo, an AV Company. The Contracts Manager will provide support through every aspect of the contract lifecycle and act as a valued team member to program management, business development and customers across BlueHalo, an AV Company. This position will be embedded in a mission focused operations group and responsible for supporting business development and program teams in proposal activity, as well as providing contract management and administrative support for multiple commercial/non-commercial, prime contracts/subcontracts within various divisions. The individual must be a team player with the ability to thrive in a cross-functional organization and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

You'd Like To Do This:

As the Contract Manager, your responsibilities include:



  • Perform contract management and administrative duties throughout the contract lifecycle including, but not limited to, proposal review and preparation, leading pre and post award negotiations, executing contract modifications, initiating contract close-outs and providing overall program support for complex, multi-year contracts.
  • Lead contract negotiations with a variety of customers to include both small and large Prime Defense Contractors.
  • Ensure that agreements/terms and conditions comply with all applicable regulations and requirements, while also adhering to company policies and protecting company proprietary information.
  • Interpret terms and conditions and identify potential risks; provide guidance to program management / business leaders on contractual rights, obligations and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively engage with program teams and customers to ensure that programs are executing to the contract requirements, managing scope, meeting contractual milestones, and mitigating risks throughout execution
  • Maintain consistent, organized and compliant contract files for programs and validate system data for accuracy.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization, including regular senior management level briefings on key issues.
  • Manage a small team of 1-3 contract professionals

  • Strong interpersonal, written & verbal communication skills.
  • Critical thinker and command decision maker.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office products (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • FAR/DFAR knowledge; working knowledge of US Government acquisition laws and regulations.
  • Broad experience with a variety of contract types: firm fixed price, cost-type, commercial/non-commercial, production, development, license, non-disclosure and teaming agreements.



You're Required To Have This:



  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph
  • BS/BA in Business or related discipline such as Finance, Supply Chain, or Accounting OR a minimum of 8 years of experience with contract sell-side negotiation, award, and administration.
  • Experience supporting MPO and other IC customers throughout the Contract Management Lifecycle.
  • Experience negotiating terms and conditions with large and small Prime Contractors.
  • Proposal experience including but not limited to reviewing RFP/RFQs, ensuring proposal compliance, developing Ground Rules and Assumptions, analyzing risk, Terms and Conditions and Reps and Certs.
  • Majority of work experience in Aerospace & Defense Contracts organizations supporting MPO and other IC customers.
  • Demonstrated expertise in contract and subcontract management; specifically, as the contract negotiator or lead.
  • Experience with all contract types.
  • Ability to work independently with limited guidance.


Preferred Education/Experience:



  • Certified Federal Manager, Contracts (CFCM)
  • Experience with accounting systems such as Unanet


Travel: 25% travel required to office sites and/or customer sites

Salary: $130,000.00 - $155,000.00

The BlueHalo, an AV Company pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several factors including, but not limited to, level of position, job responsibilities, geographic location, scope of relevant work experience, educational background, certifications, contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, alignment with local internal equity as well as alignment with market data.
