Associate Property Services Specialist (Limited Duration)

Job Function Summary

In this role, the Associate Property Services Specialist will work three main areas:

FITNES: The OPUC identifies and directs PGE to correct deficient poles/equipment and clearance violations within a specified time period. The design component of that work is limited to 6 months and the property analysis, permitting and easement acquisition must be completed within that window to meet the OPUC's correction timeline.

Customer Jobs: Oregon's residential and customer load growth has been increasing consistently over the last decade. For each new home, subdivision, condominium, and business, Property Services is engaged to acquire easements or other rights. As residential population and density increase, the easements are more complex and heavily negotiated. Failure to obtain easements puts PGE at risk for relocation costs and/or litigation.

PGE Capital Expansion & Resiliency: Transmission and Distribution planning have identified needs for 3-5 new substations, 5 new transmission lines, and expansions and upgrades a significant amount of existing infrastructure. Each substation construction or expansion necessitate land use permitting - a heavily involved and complex process prior to construction. Transmission line construction and reconductoring relies on coordination with multiple government authorities including cities, counties, ODOT and other utilities - primarily coordinated by a Property Services Specialist.

This is a limited duration role at PGE, with an expected duration of two years from date of hire.
