EE Relations Consultant
Serves as subject matter expert providing guidance on employee relations initiatives with responsibility for designing, planning, and implementing employee relations education, policies, practices, and programs. Responsible for conducting thorough and unbiased investigations to determine the facts of the issues and provide objective, consistent and defensible resolutions and recommendations. Stays abreast of employment laws and regulations and takes appropriate measures for any impact to the organization. Counsels HR partners, managers and employees through complex employee relations issues while ensuring compliance with corporate policies, procedures and applicable laws and regulations. * This position will have corporate-wide Employee Relations consulting responsibilities for assigned divisions.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic consulting on change management decisions resulting in reorganizations and reductions in force, including analysis, employee communication plans, notification review, regulatory compliance with applicable laws and coordination with outplacement services.
- Develop and implement effective employee relations and mandatory compliance training to appropriate audiences using the most effective delivery method for the subject matter.
- Analyze, interpret and report the impact of employee actions on the demographics of the organization, conducting trend analysis and recommending action steps to address concerns.
- Provide consultative advice and counsel to HR consultants, management and employees on performance matters, corrective action, conflict resolution, problem resolution and HR policies.
- Review employment legislation and external agency rulings to determine any potential impact for Comerica's HR policies and procedures and update for compliance.
- Lead and/or participate in HR/ER related projects as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
- 4 Yr/Bachelor Degree
- 8 years Human Resources experience in one or more of the major functional areas: Benefits, Compensation, Employee Relations, Staffing, Learning and/or Consulting
- 2 years Employee Relations experience
- 2 years Working with complicated Employee Relations issues including harassment, discrimination and Equal Employment Opportunity complaints and investigation
- 2 years Working with laws and regulations that affect employee relations matters
- 2 years Customer service experience
Work Best Category: Category C - Days in the office will either be designated days or will vary week to week from 2-5 days
Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday. This position includes onsite and remote work days.
Salary:
For candidates hired in the state of California, Colorado, Washington, New York, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, or Massachusetts the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently:
- California - $100,000 - $187,500 Annually
