THE ROLE:

As Senior Director, Global Antibribery, Antitrust, and Privacy Compliance Counsel, you will set the strategic vision and drive implementation of the company's global Anti-Bribery and Anticorruption (ABAC), Antitrust, and Privacy compliance programs. Serving as the senior-most leader for ABAC, Antitrust, and Privacy risk management, you will be accountable for the long-term effectiveness, transformation, and maturity of these global compliance programs. This role includes serving as the Designated Privacy Officer (DPO) for the company, ensuring compliance with all applicable privacy regulations and frameworks.

This is a highly prominent role with enterprise-wide scope, frequent AMD Executive Leadership (AET) exposure, and significant influence over the company's ethical business conduct in markets worldwide. You will lead a global team responsible for advancing world-class compliance infrastructure, shaping enterprise-wide risk strategy, and influencing key decisions that impact the company's financial results, competitive positioning, and long-term success. In addition, you will serve as the primary advisor to executive management, providing guidance on critical, high-impact issues related to bribery, corruption, antitrust law, privacy regulations, and third-party risk.

THE PERSON:

  • A standout colleague with a good sense of humor and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution and 15+ years' progressive experience as a practicing attorney, with substantial in-house and leadership experience designing and scaling enterprise compliance programs.
  • Deep subject matter expertise in ABAC (FCPA, UK Bribery Act, etc.), antitrust/ competition law, global privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), and third-party risk management in multinational corporations.
  • Recognized privacy certification, g., CIPP.
  • Demonstrated success as a strategic leader, visionary, and change agent-able to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels, including Board and AMD Executive Team (AET).
  • Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing, geographically dispersed compliance teams.
  • Track record of cross-functional partnership, resource stewardship, and global program execution in highly complex, regulated environments.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
  • Experience in technology, semiconductor, or related global industries preferred.
  • Channel sales model and channel compliance experience a plus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Leadership & Vision

  • Establish and articulate the company-wide strategic vision for ABAC, Antitrust and Privacy compliance, ensuring integration with the company's business objectives, global risk appetite, and ethical culture.
  • Develop, maintain, and evolve forward-looking compliance strategies that anticipate regulatory developments and position the company as an industry leader in ethical conduct and privacy protection.
  • Advise, influence, and engage executive leadership on ABAC, Antitrust, and Privacy related enterprise risk issues, strategic choices, and investments.

Enterprise Program Ownership & Long-term Impact

  • Serve as principal architect and executive sponsor for all ABAC, Antitrust and Privacy compliance programs, policies, and practices globally, ensuring they align to Department of Justice "Evaluation of Corporate Compliance Programs," "Evaluation of Corporate Compliance Programs in Criminal Antitrust Investigations" guidelines, and best practices for privacy compliance.
  • Ensure the Company's ABAC, Antitrust and Privacy compliance programs are consistent, scalable, and effective across business units and geographies.
  • Drive company-wide implementation of compliance controls, leveraging cross-functional resources for sustainable, measurable impact on company performance and reputation.
  • Make and own decisions on complex risk scenarios with long-term business consequences, recognizing that errors or omissions may impact the company for five years or longer.

Executive Engagement & Influence

  • Act as a key interface to executive leadership on critical compliance matters-including direct presentation and negotiation on policy, enforcement actions, or risk decisions.
  • Build partnerships and serve as an influential leader with the General Counsel, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Commercial Officer, Chief Information Security Officer, Chief Human Resources Officer, and other executive leaders to ensure cohesive direction in achieving business and compliance goals.
  • Represent the company with external regulators, industry consortia, and global policy forums on ABAC, Antitrust and Privacy compliance issues.

Organizational Leadership & Resource Management

  • Proactively advocate for and influence investment in compliance programs, talent, and technology, building strong business cases to secure alignment and resources from company leadership.
  • Develop strategy for scaling and structuring ABAC, Antitrust and Privacy compliance capabilities across the enterprise, including identifying optimal internal or external resourcing models and/or process improvements to support program objectives.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to compliance and cross-functional contributors, motivating and guiding matrixed or virtual teams as necessary to accomplish goals.
  • Oversee efficient prioritization and deployment of available resources; evaluate resource gaps and propose actionable solutions to executive leadership.
  • Model high standards of performance for compliance initiatives, setting expectations and enabling growth for both direct and cross-functional contributors.

Cross-functional Transformation & Change Leadership

  • Lead or sponsor major cross-functional initiatives (e.g., global third-party risk management (TPRM) overhaul, digital transformation of compliance systems, ABAC, Antitrust and Privacy risk assessments) that drive innovation and enhance compliance maturity.
  • Set the agenda, align stakeholders, and ensure delivery of enterprise-wide change management to foster a culture of integrity and operationalize compliance in daily business conduct.

Policy Development, Monitoring & Continuous Enhancement

  • Oversee the development and continuous improvement of global ABAC, Antitrust and Privacy policies, procedures, and controls, ensuring alignment with evolving DOJ guidance, regulations, and leading industry practices.
  • Direct ongoing monitoring, auditing, and analytics activities to evaluate program effectiveness and drive continuous enhancement based on root cause analysis, regulatory trends, and benchmarking.
  • Ensure rigorous documentation and reporting of compliance activities-including preparation of executive-level dashboards, board reports, and responses to regulatory inquiries.

External Engagement & Thought Leadership

  • Build, maintain, and leverage a global network of key external contacts (regulators, industry peers, advocacy groups) to stay ahead of trends and influence policy development.
  • Serve as a recognized thought leader and "voice of authority" for ABAC, Antitrust and Privacy compliance within and outside the company.
