Overview

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Acts as the main point of contact for customers and stakeholders, addressing concerns and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction with all mail services.
* Responsible for implementing quality control processes and monitoring performance to meet contractual requirements.
* Ensures the efficient operation of various mail services maintaining customer satisfaction, and managing the overall performance of Mail Center Operations and Mail Services.
* Maintains records of receipt, mailing dates, and other required information.
* Replenishes postage on the postage meter as needed.
* Monitors supplies needed for the mail center.
* Ensures packages and letters are available once per day pick up from FedEx and UPS.
* Utilizes MS Word to create, update, merge, delete, and sort mailing lists in sizes ranging from 50 to 200,000 addresses.
* Monitors sealed Controller Unclassified Information "burn bags" (Supplied by NASA) that contain Privacy Act, proprietary, and sensitive materials from designated pickup and delivery point and secures in CUI locked bins in the NASA Mail Center.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSURE:

* Minimum Experience Level: Manager with five (5) years of experience in mail center operations or related field.
* Familiarity with USPS regulations and mail processing procedures.
* Knowledge of commercial shipping methods and practices.
* Ability to handle and safeguard sensitive and confidential information.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

TRAVEL:

Possibility for training purposes.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. In addition, a satisfactory background screening, negative drug test, positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States are required.
