WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: As an experienced Architectural Designer within our national integrated healthcare design practice, you will lead the development of innovative, human-centered design solutions for complex healthcare environments. You will work collaboratively across multiple disciplines including architecture, intARchiterior design, engineering, and planning to drive excellence in both design outcomes and project delivery. This role balances visionary conceptual thinking with practical execution and requires a strong understanding of academic medical campuses, workflows, regulatory requirements, and the evolving healthcare landscape. This position offers the opportunity to excel within a hybrid work environment, work across multiple market sectors in-between Healthcare sector assignments, and apply your talents through all project phases, from the earliest stages of a project's development through construction administration. GENERAL DUTIES:
- Establish concept(s) and develop the design in response to project goals and strategies as a lead project designer, primarily in the Healthcare sector and occasionally in other market sectors.
- Address pertinent standards, ordinance, and code requirements for assigned projects.
- Conduct material and product research as required for project development.
- Create presentations, project reports, and narratives; improve drawing graphics and 3D representation of ideas, plans and diagrams.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Incorporate an integrated design process across all impacted disciplines and participants.
- Develop building and site master plans, including preparing entitlements packages.
- Design management of the project team to deliver excellent design solutions within budget and schedule agreements .
- Develop and maintain ongoing efforts to improve sector efficiency and quality of work.
- Utilize generative design and automation tools to create programs that can be incorporated into Revit models; utilize design tools for planning building design iterations.
SKILL, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Architecture (four year) degree required.
- Licensure preferred, or active pursuit of licensure.
- LEED Accredited or other sustainability credential preferred.
- Minimum eight years' experience in A/E industry preferred with demonstrated proficiency to lead project design efforts on a range of project sizes, complexity, and typologies; comfortable leading multiple projects simultaneously when needed.
- Comprehensive understanding of the coordination aspects and related requirements of all design disciplines.
- Robust planning, design, and graphic skills required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, ability to motivate and mentor staff, and ability to effectively delegate work assignments.
- Proficient in BIM/Revit, Revizto, Microsoft Word, Excel, Bluebeam, Concept Board/Miro required; Experience in Rhino and other graphics programs preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Capable of traveling to and from project sites for attending client, project and construction meetings.
- Ability to access existing and new project sites for observation, investigation and evaluation purposes.
- Ability to use equipment for communication and documentation purposes.
- Visual acuity to perform responsibilities.
