Job Description: Amherst College invites applications for the Writing Associate position. The Writing Associate is a part-time, casual position with no benefits, starting at $26.00/hour - commensurate with experience. The Writing Center seeks a Writing Associate to contribute to inclusive support for student writing, reading, and speaking across Amherst College's liberal arts curriculum. Primarily, the associate supports student writing in individual consultations. They are knowledgeable and engaged in the field of inclusive college writing instruction and writing center pedagogy. This is an in-person/on-campus position for the Fall 2025 semester only. The start date is September 2, 2025, or soon after.
