We are seeking a highly organized, tech-savvy HR Generalist to join our supply chain operations team in a fast-paced, startup-like environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong process improvement skills, a knack for streamlining workflows, and hands-on experience building HR functions from the ground up. You will partner closely with leadership to create and implement HR processes, build a comprehensive orientation program, and ensure compliance with HR best practices and federal contractor requirements. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role - perfect for someone who thrives in both larger corporate and smaller/startup settings and can adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Location: Dallas, TX
Pay Rate: $29 an hour
Duration: 5-6 months
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR processes and workflows, including documenting procedures and optimizing systems for efficiency.
- Drive process improvement initiatives - e.g., leveraging SharePoint or other tools to reduce manual work and create streamlined, repeatable processes.
- Build and facilitate new hire orientation programs, ensuring a consistent and welcoming onboarding experience.
- Partner with hiring managers and recruiters to ensure timely and efficient hiring and onboarding.
- Navigate and manage ADP workflows; assist with SuccessFactors if applicable.
- Maintain HRIS back-end configuration to support accurate, efficient data management.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, EEO, AAP, and federal contractor requirements.
- Prepare and deliver onboarding materials, agendas, and communications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, facilities, HR operations) to ensure all onboarding logistics are complete.
- Support HR projects, department "clean-up" efforts, and the implementation of best practices in a growing department.
- Maintain employee files, HR documentation, and assist with special projects as assigned.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Experience: 2-7 years as an HR Generalist; must have worked in both a larger company and a smaller/startup environment.
- Proven experience creating or heavily contributing to onboarding/orientation programs.
- Strong process improvement skills - ability to identify inefficiencies, design improved workflows, and implement change.
- Proficiency in ADP
- Tech-savvy with the ability to leverage tools like SharePoint for automation and efficiency.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, EEO, and AAP requirements (federal contractor experience preferred).
- Highly organized with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Comfortable with a contract role and able to make an immediate impact.
- No benefits administration or employee relations responsibilities for this role.
