Position Summary: The Analyst, Minimum Equipment List (MEL) reports to the MEL Manager and is responsible for supporting and assisting the MEL Controller(s). The Analyst will interact with team members, business partners and internal stakeholders (such as Flight Operations, Operations Engineering, Technical Operations and System Operations) to support Minimum Equipment List Review or Change Requests, Manual Revision data in the Maintenance and Engineering System (TRAX) and Flight Planning System (TOPS) for the aircraft fleet in compliance with company and regulatory guidelines. The MEL Analyst provides administrative support duties for, TOPS Reference Domain, TRAX, Arbortext and Comply365 including email communications, conference calls and data collection and reports. Essential Responsibilities
- Responsible for analysis and updates of MEL detail and MEL restrictions from the changes of the Minimum Equipment List (MEL), Configuration Deviation List (CDL), Non-Essential Equipment and Furnishings List and temporary revisions to the Maintenance and Engineering System (TRAX) and Flight Planning System (TOPS), to be compliant with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR's), Federal Aviation Administration policy, operations specifications and company policy.
- Periodic auditing of MEL detail and MEL restrictions to ensure systems have matching data.
- Maintain record of change requests for revision, review and approval process and minutes of meetings.
- Coordinate with the Operations Engineering, Centralized Publications and Information Technology (IT) Department to update manual revisions in the JetBlue network.
- Review and maintain all change requests submitted to the ticketing system. Track and catalog all tickets to relay information to the corresponding Controller for revision.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
- One (1) year of experience in Aviation or completion of an Aviation Technical School
- Experience with Microsoft Excel platform for developing and reporting metrics
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing information quickly
- Ability to work independently, under minimal supervision, in a team environment
- Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a driving record that meets JetBlue Airways' insurance standards
- Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
- In possession of valid travel documentation with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airman Certificate. (A&P, Dispatcher or Pilot)
- Experience with Extensible Markup Language (XML) and Microsoft Excel

Compensation:
- The base pay range for this position is between $58,500.00 and $89,600.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
