Job Description Summary

AAM is searching for an Area Manager to join our team. This position will be based out of our Ridgway, PA location.

As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility. This includes implementing production, cost, and quality control mechanisms, along with ensuring that schedules and performance requirements are met and system resources are used effectively.

Job Description

  • Manages product and operations associate outcomes by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining associates; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.

  • Achieves product and operations operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, customer-service, safety, security, and health standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; identifying, developing, and implementing system improvements.

  • Contributes to product and operations management and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results.

  • Manages Plant priorities within their area of responsibility by reviewing customer orders and requirements; analyzing equipment, materials, and associate availability.

  • Resolves production scheduling problems by analyzing reports; reviewing equipment, materials, and associate availability; conferring with production control; developing solutions.

  • Prepares production information and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems
