Summary of Job Description:

The Sr. HR LOA Administrator is responsible for overseeing and administering the company's leaves of absence program, including Leave of Absence (LOA), Short-Term Disability (STD), and Long-Term Disability (LTD) programs. This includes ensuring compliance with legal requirements, optimizing processes, and enhancing the employee experience. This position partners cross-functionally with HR, Legal, Payroll, and Operations to drive continuous improvement and data-informed decision-making.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and administers the company's LOA, STD, and LTD programs, including FMLA, ADA, and other statutory and non-statutory leaves. Ensures timely, accurate, and confidential handling of leave and disability requests, eligibility determinations, and case management in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Oversees day-to-day administration of leave and disability programs while identifying and implementing scalable improvements. Leverages technology and best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and employee satisfaction.
  • Partners with HR, Payroll, Legal, and external vendors to ensure seamless coordination of benefits, pay continuity, and compliance. Provides expert guidance to business leaders and HR partners on complex leave and disability scenarios and risk mitigation.
  • Develops and manages dashboards and analytics to monitor LOA, STD, and LTD trends, identify gaps, and inform strategic planning. Uses data to drive continuous improvement and present actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Administers and resolves complex or escalated leave and disability cases, ensuring timely and compliant outcomes. Proactively identifies systemic issues and recommends policy or procedural changes.
  • Designs and delivers training programs for managers and HR teams on LOA and disability policies, compliance, and best practices. Leads change management initiatives to support new processes or regulatory updates.
  • Develops, maintains, and communicates LOA, STD, and LTD-related policies and procedures. Ensures policies are current, legally compliant, and aligned with organizational goals and culture.

Qualifications - External

Your background and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum five years of relevant work experience, preferably in a retail/hospitality environment
  • Successful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.
  • Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.

Pay Range: P3: $90,000- $126,500 per year

* Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.
