Summary:

Lead and organize the daily operations of a manufacturing facility with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement. Drive operational readiness for future expansion to support customer needs. Foster a culture of safety, employee involvement, and operational excellence. This role oversees all aspects of production, maintenance, tooling, shipping, and warehousing, while promoting a motivating environment based on trust, respect, and organizational values.

Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Provide strategic leadership for daily, team-based operations.
  • Foster a strong culture of continuous improvement through the application of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Implement and support behavior-based safety processes.
  • Coach and develop Team Leader-level direct reports to ensure strong leadership and effective employee communication.
  • Continuously identify and implement improvements in operations and processes.
  • Remove production constraints and allocate human and equipment resources effectively to meet performance targets.
  • Collaborate with production control teams to develop schedules and meet on-time delivery goals.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure product consistency and compliance with customer specifications.
  • Monitor and reduce scrap rates and identify trends for improvement.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Assess and implement optimal staffing levels and shift structures in line with business growth.
  • Track and report key business metrics.
  • Communicate with employees on relevant business topics and support internal communication efforts.
  • Partner with business development leadership to identify and implement equipment or process enhancements aligned with market demand.
  • Maintain facility standards to support high-level customer visits.


Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:



  • 10-15 years of experience in production or maintenance, with increasing supervisory responsibility.
  • Proven experience leading and implementing Lean manufacturing methodologies, including pull systems.


Preferred:




  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
