What you'll be doing...

The Associate Director of Creator Marketing will be responsible for building, developing, and executing an industry-leading creator/influencer approach for Verizon, one of the industry's most prominent marketers. As an experienced expert in the fast-moving creator/influencer space, you'll be a driving force as part of Verizon's marketing transformation, tasked with putting creators at the center of the brand's marketing and content mix, developing long-term creator relationships/partnerships, and demonstrating and evangelizing the effectiveness of our creator program and the business and brand results we're able to deliver.

We're on the lookout for someone with a proven track record of building and executing holistic, full-funnel creator strategies and activations for major brands with a diversity of objectives, products, and business objectives. This leader is equal parts an expert in the creator/influencer space, a thought leader in the changing dynamics on where this space is going, and a deeply strategic and creative marketer, with a keen ability to bring creators to the center of a brand's integrated marketing campaign.

This role is a unique opportunity to lead a new discipline transforming a major brand's marketing approach, and will be directly responsible for:

  • Defining Verizon's overall influencer marketing strategy and building the core principles, systems, workflows, and practices to execute industry-leading creator partnerships and campaigns integrated across Verizon's marketing ecosystem.

  • Partnering with Verizon teammates, our influencer agency, and creators themselves to develop breakthrough creative concepts that drive brand and business results.

  • Developing strategy and operations necessary for creator content to fuel Verizon's holistic content ecosystem, powering paid, owned, and ATL channels with engaging creator content.

  • Leading a team of Creator Strategists, developing and executing 100's of influencer marketing campaigns for dedicated Verizon brand and business initiatives informed by campaign goals and target audiences.

  • Collaborating closely and effectively across brand social, marketing activation, media, analytics teams to bring the influencer strategy and individual campaign executions to life as part of larger omnichannel campaigns.

  • Building relationships with cross-functional leaders and ensure regular communication and alignment on influencer/creator marketing efforts.

  • Overseeing relationship with Verizon's influencer agency-of-record to effectively and continuously push breakthrough creative work and innovative strategic initiatives.

  • Developing our approach in partnership with our agencies and internal measurement teams to effectively track, analyze, and report social and influencer KPIs as part of our larger measurement stack - turning data into insights and continually making optimizations that improve performance and efficiency.

  • Allocating time and resources effectively across strategists on your team and our agency partners to maximize ROI across all initiatives, and ensure consistency in execution against our strategic imperatives.

  • Continuously surfacing, educating, and inspiring Verizon's marketing organization with the latest trends, competitive intelligence, and creator perspectives to increase the creator marketing fluency of our entire organization.

  • Direct experience in influencer marketing at a creative/creator/social agency, client, platform or talent agency.

  • Experience building a brand's creator/influencer marketing practice from the ground-up, or transforming a nascent creator/influencer marketing practice.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.

  • Experience with building and managing influencer and social marketing programs in fast-paced environments for blue-chip brands.

  • Strong leadership skills, ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and experience building and managing a team.
