Your Role

We are seeking an Architect to join an exciting, large-scale, mixed-use (including: commercial, residential, cultural, transit, retail, entertainment, hospitality, education, etc.) international project, offering the opportunity to be an integrated and active member of a diverse, multi-disciplinary team, working alongside multiple Gensler offices. This role will sit in the Detroit office. The Architect will contribute to the design and delivery of a high-profile, long-term international project, helping shape impactful architecture on a global scale. Leverage industry experience with technical acumen to drive projects from concept through build.

What You Will Do

  • Manage client, team and project coordination, including full documentation preparation and discipline coordination with structural, MEP, VT, lighting, AV, landscape and civil consultants

  • Support daily communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials

  • Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions, including design resiliency expertise to resolve complex technical and design challenges

  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including drawings, project manuals and specifications

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture

  • 5+ years of project experience in an architectural practice

  • Licensure required for Architect title. If you currently do not have licensure, please apply directly to Technical Designer - Mid Level, which is our unlicensed architect title.

  • International design experience a plus

  • Proficient in Revit, Rhinoceros, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office.

  • Experience with Grasshopper is a plus, but not required-we welcome applicants eager to learn and grow in this area.

  • Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures

  • Flexibility to focus on a single client with a variety of project types or multiple projects in various stages of development
