POSITION HIRING FOR: LEVEL 2 TECHNICAL MACHINE OPERATOR:
LOCATION: Oak Laminate
SHIFT: 2nd
JOB DETAILS
Position Summary: In this position, you will primarily set up and operate various types of machines to product quality parts/pieces for manufacturing use.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operating automated equipment used in the production process or assist machine operators.
- Read and follow schedules while following standard work processes and adhering to all quality standards and safety rules.
- Maintain a work pace that supports production goals.
- Member will be expected to maintain flexibility and will occasionally perform other roles in Level 2 and Level 1.
- Perform basic quality checks according to standard work.
- Maintain clean work station and follow 6S guidelines of the department.
- Member may be required to train others in Level 2 and/or Level 1 roles per the Member Training Program
- Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.
- At times, may be required to operate a forklift to move material
Work Environment/ Physical Conditions:
- Dust, fumes and noise are commonplace
- Seasonal fluctuations in temperatures and humidity are expected
- Stand and/or work for up to 10-hours per day
- Lift and carry up to 40lbs on a continuous basis
WHAT IT TAKES
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Problem solving skills that deal with a variety of variables related to machine operation set up and proper machine cycles.
- Ability to read, understand, and execute to standard work
- Ability to work both as part of a team and independently as needed
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, while maintaining a positive attitude and approach
- Ability to perform high volume repetitive type work
- Ability to take direction from others
- Reading and interpreting basic production schedules/logs, blue prints and schematics
Experience Needed:
- Prior manufacturing experience is preferred
- Consistent work history and dependability
- Proven history of strong work performance
Education and/or Required Training:
- No prior education or training is required.
